A speech-language pathologist or SLP, is a professional who is an expert in communication. A SLP works in a variety of settings with people of all ages. They treat a variety of communication & swallowing problems. Such as: speech sound delays/disorders, language delays/disorders, aphasia, dysphagia (swallowing disorder), social communication, voice disorders and cognitive communication disorders.

We are a private pay organization at this time and do not accept insurance. However, we can provide you a “Superbill”, a document with all appropriate details for you to request reimbursement from your insurance carrier.
NOTE: you are responsible for verifying your reimbursement eligibility with your health insurance plan.
Private Pay allows us the benefit of creating a treatment plan that is customized to you & your family’s goals!

Your child may benefit from speech therapy if:
your child has difficulty following directions & understanding simple concepts
your child is not yet talking (~12 months old) or is not combining 2 words (~2 years old)
your child becomes upset or finds it difficult to express their wants/needs/emotions
your child is difficult to understand, makes frequent sound omissions/substitutions

If your child is not meeting speech & language milestones, is at risk for a speech & language disorder, or if there is a family history of speech and language disorders, then an evaluation may be warranted.

We understand days are busy for everyone, so we come to you in whatever location works best.
We are located in Honeoye Falls/Mendon but will travel to select areas in Monroe, Livingston & Ontario counties.
Therapy sessions can be held in your home, at a learning center or school, at a daycare facility, at a park or playground, or via teletherapy.

Currently providing in-person services in parts of Monroe, Livingston, and Ontario counties.
Also offering teletherapy throughout New York State, including New York City and Long Island

As a certified Speech-Language Pathologist, I am able to assess and see clients without a prescription.
However, if you are planning on filing with your insurance provider -with a “superbill” Explore Your Roar will provide - referrals are typically required.
NOTE: you are responsible for contacting your insurance company to verify if a script is required for reimbursement

We will gladly accept any completed evaluations performed by an ASHA accredited, NYS licensed provider within the past 6 months (12 months for adults) as a basis to start therapy services.
We may recommend an updated evaluation be completed after our initial consultation or screening.
